Oh, how I wish I had journaled 2020 when it rolled out with so many promises! But who knew?
I’m confident each of us will remember 2020 as a yardstick year:
-“Before COVID-19, we used to….”
-“During the pandemic, I remember we….”
-“All during 2020, I wished for…”
Sadly
-too many lives lost
-too many jobs evaporated
-too many friendships stalled
-too many community improvements shelved for better days
I’m confident of this: Better days are around the corner. There are so danged many opportunities to make Des Moines a better community.
